SUP Yoga

Yoga on the Water… SUP Yoga = Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga. This class on the Catawba River is for the adventurous, the risk takers, and those who like to step outside the box. During this yoga flow, you practice both seated and standing postures that are sure to challenge you. This class will put your balance and core strength to the test. This class is not recommended for children unless accompanied by an adult (must be 10 – up).

There is no charge for SUP Yoga if participants bring their own equipment (SUP board, PFD, and paddle). If equipment is needed, it will be provided by the USNWC with the purchase of a Single Activity Pass, a Day Pass, or a Season Pass on a first come, first serve basis.

Meet at the Kayak Center before heading down to the Flatwater Dock.

Acro Yoga

Physical practice combining yoga, acrobatics, and Thai massage. This Acro Jam is not a formally structured class, but more of an adventurous play land to learn, share, experiment, and grow with others. Yogis can come and leave each event whenever you want. In the beginning, you will be led through a brief yoga warm-up, followed by demos, coaching, and encouraging in an upbeat, positive flow. No experience is necessary. Children under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult. This class is not recommended for children 5 and under.

Located at the South Ridge.

Evening Slow Flow Yoga

Slow and steady… relax and gain some mental clarity during this yoga session. Class starts with a gentle warm up that leads into a slow flow, topped off with deep twists and longer holds to help keep you relaxed. The focus is on slow, steady breath that connects to every body movement. This class is suitable for all body types and practice levels. Children under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult. This class is not recommended for children 5 and under.

All Levels Flow Yoga

From the beginner to the more advance practitioner, this class offers a little something for everyone. This flowing class has continuous steady movement with a series of postures building strength, plus elements of challenge to keep you focused and inspired. This class is suitable for all body types and practice levels. Children under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult. This class is not recommended for children 5 and under.

Morning Power Flow Yoga

Intermediate to advanced class. This class is for those ready to bring on the heat… be prepared to sweat. Class will offer intense flowing sequences followed by advanced postures and core strengthening.
This class is not recommended for children.

Yoga for Beginners

Back to the basics… Step by step instruction, learning proper alignment and fundamentals of poses. This class is suitable for all body types and practice levels. Children under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult. This class is not recommended for children 5 and under.

Kid’s Yoga

What every kid needs…. a fun, inspiring, engaging, and energetic class. This class will help children improve their focus, coordination, balance, and strength, all while learning respect and positive mindset. This fun, interactive class will keep your youthful ones engaged for a full 30 minute yoga session. Recommended for children ages 6 – 10.
